In the year 7742, tech divers have a race to get the deepest into the information hive. The hive is a collection of all the information in the world, separated out by different languages and protective barriers. Whomever controls the hive interface is automatically the president. Once one has a presidential label, they are hunted and destroyed. These tech divers use man made diamonds, and diamonds deep under the earths surface, as computers. Each computer links together through optical lines spread far and wide, and often transferred by sound vibration through solid rock. The better the cut and clarity of the diamond, the more fierce it's diving abilities into the Internet. People use diamonds to dive deep into 3D worlds which look like rain forests. Diamonds process information just as a computer does, by reflecting images and etching information into different mirrors within the microscopic texture of the diamond. A natural diamond can only withstand so much laser etching before it melts down. Man made diamonds are much faster and durable than natural diamonds, but are very rule based, and not as 'humanly flexible' in their ability to surf through information. Often a tech diver will use a combination of many kinds of diamonds and gems, acting together to form a very multipurpose Internet stream. This rainbow stream of information, is sustained by light, but to get the maximum performance, a lot of electricity is required to etch images into the diamonds. Tech divers mainly live miles underground, harvesting natural energy out of the Earth's magma. These divers live within vast interconnecting caverns, and are unknowingly the government of the world. One intellectual fascination leads to another, as they uncover the mysteries of existence. A sort of information overload disease, an addiction to knowing more than anyone else. On the surface world, the atmosphere is coated with thin layers of floating diamonds, so that every human being has their own computer screen the size of the sky. Kind of like a mirror being different to those viewing it at angles. \\
