03: CA Resident MoreThan 10 day = must get license.
04 - 16:
17: red light= no left turn; turn right after stopping. red arrow= no turn ever. flashing yellow= slow/alert. yellow arrow= prepare for next light. green light and green arrow= go after yield to pedestrians/turning cars. flashing red and light blackout= stop sign. stop sign= whoever gets there first goes first; only yield to car on right; car on your left has to yield to you.
18: 8sided= stop. 3sidedTriangle= slow down & yeild(stop only if necessary). red & or white square/rectangle= regulations(commands).
19: when night= red reflectors shine when going wrong way. circle sign=rail crossing. 5sided “house” sign=school. 4sided diamond= road condition warning.
20: orangeSign=construction. pedestrian=any person except bicycle. unmarked intersection=yield&slow.
21: roundabout=round counterclockwise intersection.
22: CA basic speed law= dont drive faster than conditions. highway speed=65 except for 2laneUndivided which are 55. 60mph crash= 4x force of 30mph. [L] lane=fast lane. trucks=right lane/specific lane; trucks on 4lane must drive on either right lane.
23: 25mph=500 ft school. bus flashing yellow= slow prepare stop. bus flashing red=stop light, must stop from either lane. 15mph in ally or 100ft of blind rail crossing(cant see 400ft track either direction) or blind intersection(cannot see 100ft). 10mph= safteyzone(marked by lines) or parked bus. trolley/streetcar/bus are same.
24: business/residence=25mph. turnout=place for slow driver to get off road when 5 cars or more following him. yellow center line=only pass on broken line. ok to pass through solid yellow line if its after broken line. no pass on solid yellow line closer than broken line. intersection/driveway/privateRoad/carpoolEntrance=never pass yellow line. solid white line=1wayStreet. broken white line separates multilane going my direction.
25: change lanes: check mirrors & turn head. left/right turn= signal/slow 100ft from corner. stay in lane, never cut corner. Left turn = look [L], look [R], look [L] again cause its where you're going. [R] turn= look over [R] shoulder, ok to cut through bike lane, stop behind limit line, look both ways before turn.
26: no enter bike lane unless 200ft of turning. may park in bikelane unless sign say NoParking. safety zone= dotted lined area on roadside where buses often load. pass cars ony on the left except if multiple lanes going your direction. carpool(marked with Diamond)=2people &or motorcycle &or LowEmissionVehicleWithDMVdecal. No crossing solid lanes to enter/exit carpool. Automobiles with trails=Can'tUseCarpool because restricted to rightHand lane.
27: [L] turn=ok to cross solid or double yellow. 2, 2ft spaced DoubbleYellow, are same as devider wall & may not be passed/uturned. Uturn only @ uturn sign.
28: If street has CenterTurnLane, you must drive completely in it and turn only when safe. Drive in CenterTurnLane no more than 200ft. Ok to drive across Center[L]TurningLane. Ok to turn [L] against red light on 1way street; but never against red arrows.
